The Fall House League

Our fall house league program is for the beginner as well as the developing player. The program consists of girls and boys teams in the U5 through U14 age brackets. The house league season is an eight-week schedule running from the Saturday after Labor Day (9/12) through the end of October (10/31). All games are played on Saturday morning or early afternoon. The league is non-results oriented up through the U10 level.

Philosophy: The fall house league program stresses individual player development and having fun with the game of soccer. Players receive training from advanced-licensed coaches through BYSA's partnership with Challenger Sports/British Soccer. This unique aspect of our program insures that every player gets the benefit of quality and age-appropriate instruction. Parent volunteers handle game-day coaching duties and

Fall House league is for

Ages       U6-U14 (DOB 1/1/03-12/31/11)

Starting with the upcoming soccer year, soccer groups will be based on calendar year DOBs instead of school year DOBs. This is a nationwide change to align us with international standards and Youth National Team programs. All towns and teams are changing.

Cost         $105 ($10 of this fee is a "Field Use Fee".   This fee is assessed per player by the Town of Barrington on all local youth sports leagues. The purpose of the Field Use Fee is to defray the cost of field maintenance.)

If you are registering more than 2 children, the fee is $75 for child 3 and beyond.

**If your child is trying out for Fall or Year Round Travel, do not register at this time.   If they are placed on a travel team and you accept the spot, they will automatically be enrolled in House League and placed on a team.   I will take care of their registration.

The Three Rules of House League Registration

·  No friend requests unless your child is U7 and younger.   This must be a MUTUAL request (Suzie requests Sally and Sally requests Suzie) made ONLY through Got Soccer WHEN you are registering.     If the request is not mutual it will not be honored.  Please don't sweat this - playing sports is a great opportunity for your kids to make new friends at any age.

· Registration will close on Tuesday, 7/5/16 .   DON'T MISS THIS DEADLINE. There will be a $25 late fee if we have spots and re-open registration on 7/6/16.

·  Team placements are final.   We will not honor any special requests. We have over 900 kids in the program and we don't have the manpower to accommodate individual requests.   Challenger practice days and times will be posted as early as possible so you can plan accordingly.

Parent Coach Volunteers

We need parent coaches for our house league teams at all age levels.   You will be able to indicate your interest in Got Soccer when registering your child(ren).   No special skills required; just an interest in soccer and a desire to work with a great bunch of kids.  Challenger coach practices will run one practice each week.  As their time and schedule allow, we ask that parent coaches attend and help with the Challenger Coach practice and run one additional practice a week.

We will need three parent coaches for each U8 and younger team, and two parent coaches per team for the U9 and older teams, and will honor requests to buddy coach. You can indicate a co-coach in Got Soccer when you register your child(ren).

If you decide you want to coach after you have registered your child please email me at bysa.david@gmail.com .

Uniform & Equipment

For U10-U12 - a jersey top will be provided to you by your coach, and should be worn with dark soccer shorts and socks.

U6-U9 and U13-U14 - the uniform consists of royal blue shorts, two shirts with BYSA logo (blue and gold) and gold socks.

Only the Gob Shop (Main Street, Warren) supplies the shirts, shorts and socks.

Players will need shin pads (must be worn) and cleats (optional for U6-U8). Each player will also need a properly inflated, age-specific soccer ball: U6-U8/size-3 ball, U9-U12/size-4 ball, and U13-U14/size-5 ball. Accessories can be purchased at any soccer outlet or sporting goods store.

What if I register late?
If there are roster spots still open and you register late, you will be assessed a $25 late fee.

Refund Policy
After registration, refunds will only be issued up to 3 weeks before the start of the program, less a $25 admin fee. There will be no refunds after the start of the House League season for any reason.
