BYSA Fall House League

Our fall house league program is for the beginner as well as the developing player. The program consists of girls and boys teams in the U6 through U14 age brackets. The house league season is an eight-week schedule running from the Saturday after Labor Day through the end of October. All games are played on Saturday morning or early afternoon. The league is non-results oriented up through the U10 level.

Philosophy: The fall house league program stresses individual player development and having fun with the game of soccer. Players receive training from advanced-licensed coaches through BYSA's partnership with Challenger Sports/British Soccer. This unique aspect of our program insures that every player gets the benefit of quality and age-appropriate instruction. Parent volunteers handle game-day coaching duties and team with Challenger trainers for practices.

Teams practice once or twice per week (once with parent coach and once with a Challenger Sports coach).

Games are played on Saturday mornings / early afternoons.

Fall House League is non-results oriented through U10.

Fee:

Fall House League is $105

If registering more than two children, the fee is $75 per child.

Registration:

PLEASE CLICK HERE TO REGISTER.

Please register by July 31st.  A $25 late fee will be charged after July 31st.

If a player has tried out for Fall-only or Year-round Travel, do not register them for Fall House League.   If a player is placed on a travel team, they will automatically be enrolled in the Fall House League program.  If a player is not placed on a travel team, they will be able to register for the Fall House League on a later date.

Important Rules of Fall House League:

Friend requests are only considered for U6 and U7 players; and must be a mutual request (Suzie requests Sally and Sally requests Suzie).  Friend requests can ONLY be made when registering players in the Got Soccer program.

Please remember that playing team sports is a great opportunity for players to make new friends.

Registration will close on July 31st.

If spots on team rosters are still available after July 31st, there will be a $25 late fee to register.

Team placements are final.

Parent Coach Volunteers:

Fall House League’s success is greatly dependent on our volunteer parent coaches.  Parent coaches do not need to have coaching experience; just an interest in working with a great bunch of kids playing soccer.

Those parents interested in coaching can indicate their interest when registering their child in the Got Soccer program.  Parents can also request to coach with other parents during this process.

U6 through U8 teams have three coaches and U9 through U14 teams have two coaches.

We ask parent coaches to run one practice a week in addition to Challenger run practices.

Challenger practices run once a week for U7 through U14 teams and once every other week for U6 teams.

Uniform & Equipment:

For U6 through U9 and U13 through U14 players, the uniform consists of royal blue shorts, two shirts with BYSA logo (blue and gold) and gold socks.

The Gob Shop in Warren supplies the shirts, shorts, and socks.

The Gob Shop - 465 Main St. Warren, RI

Please purchase the uniform well before the start of the season to allow for a player’s last name to be added to the shirts.

For U10 through U12 players, a jersey top will be provided to you by BYSA, and should be worn with dark soccer shorts and socks.

All players must wear shin pads.  Cleats should also be worn (cleats are optional for U6 through U8 players).

All players will also need a properly inflated, age-specific soccer ball: U6 through U8 use a size-3 ball, U9 through U12 use a size-4 ball, and U13 and U14 use a size-5 ball.

Accessories can be purchased at any soccer outlet or sporting goods store.
